A delegation from the Association attended the Annual Rally in DC on April 21-23, 2008. Those attending were President Doug Evans, NRWA Director Neil Forster, Executive Director Dale Pierson, RWAU Legislative Chair Paul Fulgham, Bob Johnson and Leo Williams representing Oakly Water, and Webmaster Diana Waite.
All lower 48 state associations, plus Alaska attended the Rally and met with their respective congressional folks. The RWAU group met with Senators Bennett and Hatch, and Congressmen Bishop, Cannon and Matheson. The RWAU delegation updated the members of Congress on the work done by RWAU in training and assisting systems in 2007. They also asked for continued support of funding for rural water programs in Utah and across the nation.
