en Snook has been appointed to the Rural Water Association of Utah Board of Directors. He is filling and unexpired term that is up for re-election 2007. He will represent Region 5 of the Voting membership

Ken earned his Associate degree Paul Smiths College in New York State followed by earning his Bachelors Degree in Forest Resource Management from the University of Idaho located in Moscow, ID. He completed his graduate work at the University of Utah. Ken currently works for Price River Water Improvement District, a culinary water treatment plant, as Superintendent for 24 1/2 years. Before moving to the Price area, Ken worked RS at SLC Creek Treatment plant for 2 years as plant operator. Ken lives in Spring Glen (near Helper) in Carbon County and has for 25 years. Ken has been married to Karen, his wife, for 28 years. He has a son and daughter, both reside in the Helper area.

Ken is not a stranger to dedicating his time to serve on a worthwhile cause. He is the Vice-Chairman on Sping Glen Water Company Board. Ken also serves as the Vice Chairman on the AWWA Teleconference Committee. He doesn't just limit his service to the water industry as he has volunteered many years as a western baseball little league coach and 5 years as a Jr. Jazz coach. When Ken is not working or volunteering his time, his hobbies include: Horses, Elk Hunting, and church service, to name a few.

Ken may be a new member of the RWAU Board of Directors but is not new member with the Rural Water Association of Utah. He has been involved with Rural Water Association as long as he can remember and always looks forward to the Annual Conference held in St. George, UT. Ken realizes there are a lot of good people who are the unrecognized heroes of our rural communities, keeping people healthy and infrastructures of our communities working. Ken has been involved with teaching and helping some small systems keep up with new technologies and processes. He is looking forward to being able to serve the great rural folks of Utah as an RWAU Board member. RWAU is greatful for Ken's willingness to be involved and will undoubtedly learn a lot from him and his many years of experience in this industry.
