Technical Assistance

Water: Our circuit riders offer one-on-one on-site technical assistance and training in areas of operation, maintenance, management, and finance: leak detection, cross-connection control certification, sanitary surveys, rate structures, operator certification training, meter testing, treatment, chlorination, wells, compliance, etc. Specialized technical assistance is also provided to small drinking water systems that are in non-compliance with drinking water regulations.

Wastewater: Technical assistance is also offered in wastewater areas for operator certification training, discharge monitoring reports, collection systems, operation and maintenance, treatment processes, chlorination, safety, and profiling of lagoons.

Groundwater: The Groundwater Protection Program helps with the technical assistance and training in the development of groundwater protection plans.

Computers: Our computer circuit rider works with small utilities on subjects ranging from billing to reporting.

Legislatvie Monitoring

The Legislative Committee works hard all year to monitor action on both the state and Federal level and provides updates on the status of various water related issues.
