Kcris Hunter is the Certification Trainer for the Rural Water Association of Utah. Kcris learned the water industry while working for the City of St. George as a Cross Connection Control Administrator as well as a Water Treatment Plant Operator. Before working full-time for the Association, Kcris also filled in as a Circuit Rider where she was able to utilize her certifications in Cross Connection and Water Treatment to assist water systems with compliance as well as Annual Water Quality Reports. Kcris provides technical training, onsite assistance, emergency response, works with compliance, and as the Certification Trainer. She is also over the Nexus Forum and Specialty trainings with addition to the Water & Wastewater Operator Certification trainings.
During 2011- 2015 Kcris took over the duties of building and maintaining the RWAU and UTWARN website where she turned it into a well-used resource for water operators.
Kcris obtained her Utility Management Certification and has achieved her Water Rights Certification. She is also certified as a Water Treatment Operator IV, Water Distribution Operator IV, Cross Connection Control Administrator I, Backflow II Technician, and a Backflow Proctor III.
Additionally, Kcris served on the Utah ABPA Board as the Region #2 Director.
