HB 124 sub- Water Holdings Accountability and Transparency Amendments Coleman

Requires a city or special service district that supplies municipal water outside its jurisdictional boundaries to publicly post and provide to the state engineer a legal description and map of the area being served; the cost of water being assessed from users and information about the water right being used to service the area including right number, point of diversion and use of the water. Specifies that the state engineer may make rules regarding the form and content of the information being supplied and shall post the information on the state engineer’s web site.

HB 255 – Extra-Jurisdictional Municipal Authority Coleman

Limits the circumstances in which a municipality may own property outside its boundaries, creates an exception to the property tax exemption for property a municipality owns and authorizes a municipality to levy a property tax on property that another municipality owns within its boundaries.

HB 303 - Drinking Water Source Sizing Requirements Sandall

Requires the Drinking Water Board to withhold approval of plans for the substantial addition to a community water system under certain circumstances, requires certain public water systems to provide certain water use data and requires the Director of the Division of Drinking Water to establish water source sizing requirements for certain public water systems.
