Full Job Description

Purpose of Position:

• Essential function is to provide clean, safe drinking water to District customers and ensure wastewater collection system is operating properly at all times.

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain water and sewer main lines and laterals
• Maintain District water booster stations, sewer lift stations, wells and all equipment associated
• Troubleshoot equipment such as pumps, motors, grinders, etc.
• Repair broken water and sewer mains as required
• Maintain distribution system PRVs to ensure proper operation
• Exercise valves and maintain fire hydrants
• Flush distribution system to ensure chlorine residual and aesthetics
• Clean sewer collection system with Vacuum Truck and other required equipment
• Install, maintain and perform monthly reads of culinary and secondary irrigation meters
• Maintain proper tank levels throughout system
• Participate in weekly on-call rotation (must be able to respond within 30 minutes)
• Operate and monitor SCADA system
• Respond to emergencies in a timely manner
• Maintain water and wastewater certifications required
• Practice safe working procedures at all times
• Operate Vacuum Truck, Dump Truck and backhoe as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED
• Must possess a valid Utah driver license
• One (1) year relative job-related experience

One (1) of the following is required:

• Class B CDLo Water Distribution Grade III Certification
• Wastewater Collections Grade II Certification 

4 Day work week Mon - Thur, Eligibility for health, dental, vision and life insurance coverage, HSA option, 401(k) plan and retirement through Utah Retirement Systems, subject to plan terms; vacation leave, sick leave, thirteen (13) company-paid holidays. Other various fringe benefits include but are not limited to annual clothing allowance and company paid cell phone which are both subject to completion of the first six-months on the job.
