Rural Water partnered with EPA to create a Small System Checklist tool for compliance with America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 (AWIA) and these two seminars are intended to be in-depth training on how to use this tool.

The first webinar is detailed training on how to use the Small System Checklist; the second is a complimentary seminar with details on other components related to AWIA compliance. Both of these sessions are important to learn how to use the Small System Checklist and be able to provide that assistance to the membership for AWIA Compliance!

"Small System Risk and Resilience Assessments under AWIA"

National Rural Water Association and the Environmental Protection Agency have partnered to create an evaluation tool to simplify compliance with the Risk and Resiliency requirements of the America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018. All public drinking water systems serving 3,300 to 50,000 must complete this assessment by June 30, 2021 and this tool is available for your use. Attend this webinar for detailed training on how to utilize this valuable tool to keep your system in compliance and perform these valuable security checks to help you make sure of your system’s security. This session will also cover some aspects of the Vulnerability Self-Assessment Tool (VSAT).

A perfect companion webinar to Small System Risk and Resilience Assessments Under AWIA, this session will further explain the components of drinking water system compliance with America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018.  The topic will include Emergency Response Plan guidance, the appropriate process to certify your Emergency Response Plan, and other compliance considerations outlined in Section 2013 of AWIA.
