Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I | Heber

Jordanelle Special Service District is seeking a full-time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. Duties include but are not limited to operation of District wastewater treatment facilities, ordering and maintaining all chemicals needed for the treatment process, understanding and maintaining plant instrumentation, collecting wastewater samples and performing laboratory analyses, assisting with water reclamation facility operations and process control, recording data of all parameters in plant in monthly operating report, operating and troubleshooting as well as maintenance and repairing of equipment such as pumps, blowers, compressors, grinders, motors, gearboxes, etc.; ensuring treatment facility is clean, organized, and well-maintained; operating and maintaining chemical feed equipment, operation of SCADA equipment, participation in weekly on-call rotation and ability to respond within 30 minutes. 

Minimum required qualifications are: high school diploma or GED, Class B CDL (or ability to acquire within first year of employment), two (2) years’ relative job-related experience, knowledge and/or experience in wastewater treatment, any level of Wastewater Treatment Certification is preferred but not required, and must obtain level IV Wastewater Treatment Certification within two (2) years of employment.
