Water Reclamation and Collections Operator | Hyrum City Corporation

HYRUM CITY is accepting resumes for a full time Level III Water Reclamation and Collections Operator at its Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) - position maybe filled at Level II or Level I. Candidates will be required to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with rotating on-call shifts, overtime, and available for emergency call outs.

Level III 

1. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience working at a WRF.
2. Must possess a Utah Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator 2 Certificate.
3. Must possess a Utah Wastewater Collection Operator 1 Certificate.
4. Experience maintaining and fixing pumps and other associated WRF equipment.
5. Experience with lab work
6. Ability to read and comprehend operation and maintenance manuals, standard operating procedures, written policies etc.
7. Capable of communicating effectively and professionally
8. Metal welding and cutting skills.
9. Pipefitting and plumbing skills.
10. Ability to operate industrial machinery such as forklift, backhoe, wheel loader, etc.
11. Ability to work and get along with others.
12. Required to be on-call after work hours, including weekends and holidays for a minimum of one week per month.
13. Must live within 15 Miles of the Hyrum City Office
14. Good math and computer skills
15. Must be able to obtain Utah Wastewater Collections 1 Certification within one year of hire.

Level II (This position may be filled at a level II by applicants who do not meet the requirements for level III.)

1. Must have at least one year working at a WRF.
2. Experience maintaining and fixing pumps and other WRF equipment.
3. Must possess a Utah Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator 1 Certificate.
4. Must possess a Utah Wastewater Collection Operator I Certificate.
5. Ability to read and comprehend operation and maintenance manuals, standard operating procedures, written policies etc.
6. Capable of communicating effectively and professionally
7. Basic metal welding and cutting skills.
8. Basic pipefitting and plumbing skills.
9. Ability to operate industrial machinery such as forklift, backhoe, wheel loader, etc.
10. Ability to work and get along with others.
11. Required to be on-call after work hours, including weekends and holidays for a minimum of one week per month.
12. Must live within 15 Miles of the Hyrum City Office
13. Good basic math and computer skills.
14. Must be able to obtain Utah Wastewater Collections 1 Certification within one year of hire

Level I (This position may be filled at a level I by applicants who do not meet the requirements for level II.)

7. Ability to work and get along with others.
8. Required to be on-call after work hours, including weekends and holidays for a minimum of one week per month.
9. Must live within 15 Miles of the Hyrum City Office
10. Good basic math and computer skills
11. Must be able to obtain Utah Wastewater Treatment 1 Certification with one year of hire.

Upon employment employee must reside in Hyrum City or no further than fifteen miles from city office. Salary range is $26.75 to $29.87 per hour for Level III; $23.70 to
$26.75 per hour for Level II; and $20.61 to $23.69 per hour for Level I. These positions are full time with benefits (health, dental, and life insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, and retirement).
