Water Sales Tax Bill Halted

HB 441, the bill which proposed the removal of the tax exemption for the sale of water, has come to a halt. Legislative leaders and Gov. Gary Herbert pulled the plug on the sweeping overhaul of Utah’s tax code. Lawmakers will deal with the issue in a special session later this Spring.
