Operator/Water Master

Angell Springs Special Service District is seeking an Operator/Water Master to help manage and maintain its water system. The position includes water testing, system monitoring, regulatory compliance, meter readings, water system maintenance, and monitoring of chlorination and sanitation levels.

The Operator/Water Master will oversee essential water system operations and assist with maintaining reliable delivery of safe and sanitary water to customers. Responsibilities include required testing and inspections, daily system monitoring, reporting, maintenance, chlorination monitoring, and maintaining required certifications.

• Manage all water testing and inspections required for state and county compliance
• Monitor daily water output and the general wellness of the system through SCADA and needed physical inspections to maintain reliable delivery of safe and sanitary water to customers
• Perform monthly meter readings and monthly output totals and submit sanitation levels as required by law
• Perform weed and root removal from springs and collection areas as needed
• Monitor the chlorinator, chlorine production, and sanitizer levels in the water system
• Maintain certifications required for the position and adhere to continuing education programs and requirements

The selected individual will be expected to be certified in all areas required for the position and to maintain continuing education requirements.

Wage will be determined by the Board based on the responsibilities the selected individual is willing to perform. The Board is open to considering a wage request from a potential Water Master.
