Attendee Prize Drawing (Vendor Prizes)

We are requesting that each vendor supply a prize for the attendee prize giveaway. The prize needs to be approx. $50 in value or greater, and can either be an item you bring, or you can pay $50 in cash when registering and Rural Water will purchase an item in your name. 


Backhoe Rodeo Sponsorship

We have a few spots available to sponsor the Backhoe Rodeo for $100. Event sponsors will be recognized at the event and at the conference and can display their outdoor equipment (if applicable) in the backhoe obstacle course area. Sign up to sponsor when you register.

Due to space limitations in the conference center, there are only 36 exhibit booths available inside the Eclipse Expo Hall plus 6 booths in the Horizon Lobby directly outside the exhibit hall doors on Tuesday. You can choose your location upon registration on a first-come, first-served basis. Vendors can register for up to two booths. 


The exhibit fee includes two Tuesday conference attendees per booth. (Additional attendees can be registered for $35 per person. We will contact you after you register to get the names of those attending in your booth.)




All equipment will be displayed in the upper parking lot of the Davis Conference Center, kitty-corner to the backhoe rodeo area on Wednesday.


When registering for a booth inside for Tuesday, you can sign up to bring outdoor display equipment on Wednesday at no additional charge. This equipment will be displayed in the far North parking lot at the Davis Conf. Center on WEDNESDAY


Conference Info:

Operator Certification (Monday – Thursday)

Need to certify? Or upgrade your certification? Here’s your chance! Both Water and Wastewater Operator Certification review classes & testing will be available at the Conference. You can choose to take the class and/or exam for either water or wastewater, but you cannot take both at the same time. Register and pay for either the water or the wastewater certification CLASS with RWAU when you register for the Conference. Register and pay for the certification EXAM with either the Division of Drinking Water for Water, or the Division of Water Quality for Wastewater.


Classroom Training

(Tuesday & Wednesday)

Water, Wastewater, Management, and Large System training sessions will be offered to those not taking the Operator Certification course. These sessions will run from Tuesday, August 28thfrom 8:30 am – 3:15 pm and on Wednesday, August 29th from 8:30 am-3 pm. Attend both days of training and earn 1.0 CEU!


Utility Management Certification (UMC)

(Tuesday & Wednesday)

We are excited to offer the Utility Management Certification (UMC) training course and testing opportunity in conjunction with the Fall Conference again this year. Take advantage of this convenient opportunity to get your Utility Management Certification and boost your credibility (and resume!) Sessions will be offered in the management track at the conference (which anyone is welcome to attend) on Tuesday and into Wednesday morning. We will then hold a testing opportunity in the Stratus 7 room on Wednesday morning after the last UMC training session ends. Use the appropriate checkbox on the registration form to take advantage of this opportunity—including whether you are testing or not—and come join us!


Keynote Luncheon


We are anxious to hear from Lt. Governor Spencer Cox (invited) at our keynote luncheon this year.  Go straight to classes after registering Tuesday morning, then join us in the Eclipse Expo at noon to enjoy your lunch while listening to the awesome Keynote presentation. At the end of the Keynote Session on Tuesday, we will draw one lucky winner for a complimentary black powder pistol giveaway, compliments of Sunrise Engineering! Thank you Sunrise!

We have a room full of FULL SIZED EXHIBITOR BOOTHS in the Eclipse Expo Hall and the north parking lot on Tuesday. Make sure and visit them all to support our exhibitors and learn about the most current technology, equipment and knowledge available to you—come check it out! 

Then on WEDNESDAY hit the upper parking lot across from the Backhoe Rodeo and check out our NEW EQUIPMENT EXPO! All included with conference registration.


Bean Bag Toss & Golf Putt Prize Drawing

(Tuesday & Wednesday)

Come participate in the Rural Water Bean Bag toss & Golf Putt for prizes! While visiting exhibitors in the Eclipse Expo Hall on Tuesday make sure to stop by the Rural Water Bean Bag Toss/Golf Putt and earn tickets to go in the vendor-supplied prize drawing.  Play again on Wednesday in the main lobby.  Prizes will be given out on Wednesday at 2 pm, directly following the final combined session of the day. Use the ticket in your packet to play once for free. We will be drawing for some great prizes, and all proceeds go toward the WaterPAC. (We will also conduct the evaluation form prize drawing at this time.)


Backhoe Rodeo


The Backhoe Rodeo obstacle course will be on WEDNESDAY with lots of fun obstacles this year. Head up to the Northeast lot above the conference center to join the fun! All Conference registrants are invited to participate. Come test your skills and compete with other operators for prize money and (more importantly) bragging rights! Winners will be awarded their prizes at the final prize drawing on Wednesday at 2 pm in the Meridian Ballroom.

2017 Fall Conference Recap

Who could forget the Backhoe Rodeo? Thank you to everyone who participated and planned the 2017 Fall Conference! We are looking forward to making 2018 a success!
