About the Organization

Entranosa Water Association is the largest member-owned water cooperative in New Mexico with more than 5,400 members. Located in the East Mountains near Albuquerque, the Association operates with a staff of 14 and annual revenues exceeding $4.5 million while supporting long-term water system operations and regional infrastructure management.

Job Description

The Chief Executive Officer oversees all operational, financial, regulatory, and strategic functions of the Association. Reporting to an elected seven-member Board of Directors, the CEO supervises management staff and leads system operations, budgeting, capital improvement planning, and long-term utility administration.

What You Will Do
  • Lead day-to-day utility operations and organizational management
  • Supervise the System Manager, Finance Manager, and Business Manager
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and capital projects
  • Support long-term strategic and infrastructure planning
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and operational performance
  • Coordinate with the Board of Directors on organizational priorities
  • Oversee financial performance and operational reporting
  • Support member service and utility system reliability initiatives
What You Will Bring
  • Minimum 10 years of utility administration experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution or equivalent experience
  • Water Supply Certification Level 4 or equivalent preferred
  • Strong leadership and utility management experience
  • Knowledge of budgeting, capital planning, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to lead utility operations and administrative functions
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Preference may be given to East Mountain or Albuquerque area residents
Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary range is $100,000 – $120,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications. The position includes excellent benefits and the opportunity to lead one of New Mexico’s largest member-owned water cooperatives.
