What You’ll Do
- Operate heavy equipment — dump trucks, graders, loaders, snowplows.
- Maintain and repair streets, curbs, and drainage systems.
- Assist with water line and meter installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Maintain sewer collection systems and repair line breaks or blockages.
- Help maintain Town facilities, vehicles, trails, and parks.
- Follow Town safety procedures and participate in on-call rotation.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to lift 50–75 lbs and handle heavy physical labor.
- Willing to work on-call and 24-hour standby as needed.
- Licensing (can obtain after hire):
- Commercial Class A CDL within 6 months.
- Utah Level 1 Water Distribution & Level 1 Wastewater Collection Certifications within 1 year.
- Flagger Certification within 6 months.
Preferred / Advanced Candidates
- Hold a Class A CDL and/or Utah Drinking Water and Wastewater Certifications (Level II or higher).
- Pay is higher and negotiable DOE for qualified operators.
