Provo City is seeking a Cross Connection Control Coordinator to develop and manage the Cross Connection Control Program within the Water Resources Division.
Pay Grade G29: $29.48 – $40.64/hour depending on qualifications. Benefits include employer-paid health insurance, retirement and pension plans, 401k with matching, paid leave, educational assistance, and access to City amenities such as recreation facilities and golf discounts.
- Develop and manage cross-connection control program
- Maintain inventory and records of backflow devices
- Conduct hazard surveys and inspections
- Ensure compliance with regulations and testing requirements
- Communicate with water users and enforce compliance
- Investigate backflow incidents and water quality issues
- Test and evaluate backflow prevention assemblies
- Develop public education programs
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Cross Connection Control Program Administrator Certification (required)
- Backflow Assembly Tester Certification (preferred)
