The Wastewater Operator performs preventive maintenance, system monitoring, wastewater sampling, equipment repairs, utility locating, and regulatory reporting to ensure safe and reliable wastewater service. 50119109-8551-49cf-bd17-6469090157ca.doc
- Maintain pumps, motors, aerators, and standby generators
- Monitor lagoon performance and SCADA systems
- Collect wastewater samples and perform testing
- Install and repair pumps, flow meters, and chlorine feed systems
- Respond to emergency call-outs as part of an on-call rotation
- Perform Blue Stakes utility locating
- Maintain operational records and submit regulatory reports
- Operate cranes, hoists, generators, and maintenance equipment
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of wastewater experience preferred
- Ability to work independently
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical field work
- Background check required
- Ability to earn Utah Small Lagoon (SL-S1) and Collection I certifications within 12 months
