Utah Cyber Center Regional Meetings

The Utah Division of Drinking Water, in partnership with the Utah Cyber Center, is hosting a series of regional training sessions in 2025 focused on protecting our state’s water infrastructure from evolving cybersecurity threats.

Water systems are increasingly targeted by hostile foreign actors, including China, Russia, and Iran. These threats put critical infrastructure—and the communities that rely on it—at risk. This training will equip water system operators and IT professionals with the tools, knowledge, and partnerships needed to prepare for and respond to these attacks.

The Utah Cyber Center was created to coordinate efforts between State, Local, and Federal partners to bolster statewide security. By sharing cyber threat intelligence, promoting best practices, and fostering strategic partnerships, the Cyber Center helps Utah’s critical sectors defend against future cyber incidents.

Through these sessions, participants will learn to bridge the communication gap between operational and technical teams, strengthen their incident response plans, and build resilience across the water sector.
