Full Job Description

Mountain Regional Water Special Service District is accepting applications for a Customer Service Water Technician. Applicants must be 18 years of age and possess a valid Utah Driver’s License along with a High School Diploma. This position will require considerable year-round physical activity, with the ability to operate various equipment and perform manual tasks for sustained periods of time, along with the potential for some on-call and after-hours work.  Within six months of employment this position will require successful completion of a Level II Water Operator Certification.  Applicants should have working knowledge of basic computer and Microsoft Office applications along with strong verbal and written communication skills.  Preference given to applicants with previous work experience in customer service; operation, maintenance, and repair of water systems; general construction; or electrical/mechanical system service. Salary $24.04-$34.77 per hour depending on qualifications; plus regular full-time benefits. Mountain Regional Water is a drug free workplace and participates in E-Verify. Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    Required:
•    Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
•    Experience in one or more of the following: operation, maintenance, and repair of water systems; general construction; electrical, mechanical, or telemetry systems
•    Experience in customer service
•    Valid Utah Driver’s License
•    Completion of Utah Water System Operator certification, Grade II Water Distribution within six months of hire
•    Completion of Utah’s Cross Connection Control Program Administrator certification within one year of hire
•    60-minute response time while on call 
                    
Preferred:
•    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
•    Experience in the operation and maintenance of water distribution systems
•    Active Utah Water System Operator’s Certification(s) and Utah State CDL
•    Active Cross Connection Control Program Administrator
•    Utah State Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
