What to Expect at Annual Conference Next Month

Planning ahead is easier when expectations are clear. With the 2026 Annual Conference approaching on February 23–27, we wanted to provide a straightforward overview of what attendees can expect this year from accommodations and scheduling to activities and key deadlines.

Whether this is your first conference or one of many, this guide is designed to help you plan efficiently and avoid surprises. 

Discounted hotel rates for the 2026 conference will be available exclusively through the Engine app. This helps keep costs predictable and ensures access to conference hotels at reduced rates.

This year’s conference will again use the EventMobi app as the central hub for all event information. Once downloaded, attendees will have access to:

• Full session schedules

• Lunch ticket details

• Conference updates and notifications

• Interactive, conference-themed games

The app is designed to minimize confusion and wandering. All valuable outcomes.

Pro Tip: Download the app before you arrive. You can plan your schedule and navigate without the pressure of class starting and people all around you.

Several certification-related deadlines occur before the conference begins. Make sure you plan accordingly!

• Wastewater Exam Applications due January 30 (DEQ)

• Water Exam Applications due February 13 (DDW)

In addition to technical sessions, the 2026 conference includes several optional activities designed for networking, collaboration, and occasionally fun.

Participation is optional. Enjoyment is probable.

Pro Tip: Add one activity you didn’t plan on attending. That’s usually where the best conversations happen.

A scheduling note for 2026: there will be no sessions or classes held on Friday. That day is reserved exclusively for certification exams.

All required CEUs will still be available earlier in the week. The math checks out.
