Full Job Description

Monuments Academy is in need of a Certified Water Operator (Small System) and a Cross Connection Control Program Administrator for its Brian Head, UT location.  Estimated number of hours per month:  10.  Certified Water Operator Monthly Activities:  Obtain monthly water samples January - December, deliver to the Southern Utah University water lab to test for Coliform/E. coli, review, and file the results.  Record monthly well log data. As Needed Monthly Activities:  Obtain repeat water samples after failed water samples, deliver to the Southern Utah University water lab to test for Coliform/E. coli, review, and file the results.  Ongoing Annual, Biennial, or Triennial Activities:  Annually perform Cross Connection Control Surveys of the water system, and schedule annual inspections of backflow prevention devices.  Write and submit the annual Consumer Confidence Report.  Create and distribute Public Education Flyers.  Submit the Annual Water Use Report.  As required by the State, obtain water samples for Lead and Copper, Nitrate, Sulfate, Sodium, TDS, and Inorganics & Metals, deliver to the Southern Utah University water lab, review, and file the results.  As required by the State, update the Drinking Water Source Protection Plan, the Bacteriological Sample Site Plan, the Emergency Response Plan, and the Cross Connection Control Program Plan.  Respond to Level 2 Surveys and Sanitary Surveys.  Time will be spent updating water system documentation, resolving the State of Utah WaterLink discrepancies, attending conferences, certification training, and completing continuing education credits.  

Qualifications

Must hold Certified Water Operator and Cross Connection Certification from Utah Department of Environmental Quality
